As you can tell it has been more than a week since I completed step #1. Finding time to learn about all these new things can be challenging, but it is necessary.
I wasn't too impressed with Abram video, but enjoyed the Blyberg blog and other articles. I think the most important lesson learned from all of the materials was relevancy. I remember when offering video games for checkout at a library I worked at was considered a big no-no. My thought was, hey, if it brought in the kids, fantastic. We got them in the door and now we could educate them on what else the library had to offer. Libraries now have to rethink how they provide service to their patrons and use whatever tools and services are available to get people into their doors whether it is a physical or virtual door.

23 Things on a Stick Step #1
Well, I setup my first blog ever. Had such a difficult time coming up with a name for the blog, like so many others have commented on. I settled on Dancing Librarian since one my recent passions has been dancing, specifically belly dancing. I started the whole dance thing as means to stay in shape, but it progressed to performing in a recital to most recently at an area restaurant New Year's Eve. Bear in mind, I didn't perform solo. I am not quite there yet, but who knows. Anything is possible. Stay tuned.
